Christmas comes early at Letton!

During the winter months local Pike angler Greg Daniel is a regular at Letton Court and his most recent visit on Thursday 21st December, 2006 was by far his best. Although Greg fishes both the Ox-bow Lake and the river on the Letton Court Estate, he prefers the river, and as it was fining down well with just a hint of colour, he headed to a deeper slower section of the river.

Using sardine under a float he soon latched into what would be his first 30lb+ Pike. After a dogged fight photographs and measurements were taken.

The length of the fish was 45ins and with a girth of 26ins she slammed the scales down to 32lb 6oz.

The Pike was in pristine condition and was released safely to fight another day.

Congratuations Greg.
