Pike, 32lb 6oz caught on the River Wye, Letton Court

Our Fishery at Letton Court has proved to be an excellent Pike water and since December 2002 numerous fine catches have been landed. Several of these are pictured on this page.

On the river 2 rods are allowed per angler and only dead sea baits are allowed. This is to ensure the least possible damage to Salmon stocks.

The Pike angler is spoilt for choice as we have a mile and a half of single bank River Wye, which has yielded Pike to 28lb 1oz, and our 7 acre Ox-bow lake which has yielded Pike to 30lb 8oz.

On the Ox-bow Lake we feel we can be more flexible so as well as dead sea baits we will allow spinning and also live-baiting, on condition that the live bait is caught from the Ox-bow Lake at Letton Court.

It is our intention to ensure that all fish are treated with the respect they deserve, and ensure cracking fishing for the future.

We hold regular Open Pike Matches at Letton during the Winter months, where everyone is welcome, beginners and the more experienced alike.
