Salmon are obviously the main quarry and the catch rate compares very favourably with other stretches in the area.
The largest fish caught in 2002 wasa 23.5lb Salmon, landed by Simon Preece from Mid-Glamorgan. The 38.5" fish was taken on a Flying C in 'The Barlings'. This fish is the largest Salmon caught on the Letton Court water since 1989.
In 2003 the Malt Whisky went to Season Salmon fisher Robert Evans, who caught his first ever proper Salmon on 13th May while fishing The Cut. He caught and landed a 20.5lb hen Salmon, with an orange and gold Flying 'C'.

There is a good head of Brown Trout in the 1-3lb range in the stretch, plus the occasional Sea Trout. During the early Spring there is usually a run of Shad.
